Often we seek therapy when we are in need of support or guidance with a particular issue or dilemma that we are experiencing in our present. It is not uncommon to explore our challenges in a therapy session as a way to tap into our emotions and needs as a way to shed light on what is needed to move forward. It is important to remember that in therapy, it is not that we seek answers from others, but rather seek pathways that lead back to our own answers that remind us of our capabilities and inner resiliency.
Many people turn to intuition for answers, and oracle cards are a great way to tap into that intuition. Intuition is the ability to know something without any logical reasoning. It's a knowing that comes from within, and it can be trusted. Oracle cards are decks of cards that contain images and symbols that can help us access our intuition and connect with our higher selves. Oracle cards are also a powerful tool for exploring spirituality, our inner wisdom and the subconscious mind. In an art therapy session, clients can use oracle cards to help them explore their feelings and issues.
Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses art to communicate emotions and thoughts. It can be helpful for people who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally. In an art therapy session, goals are very similar to traditional talk therapy and often people seek a creative outlet to explore these spiritual aspects of the self and explore issues in an alternative way. Creative endeavors can often promote intuitive decision making abilities as the process is filled with infinite choices.
Oracle cards are often used to help people gain insight into their lives and make decisions by focusing attention to particular aspects of a question or situation through the use of symbols and words. They are often used to help answer questions about the future, relationships, career, personal growth and other areas of life and can be helpful in making decisions, navigating challenging situations, and gaining clarity about what steps to take next. They are a tool that can be used for guidance, insight, self-discovery, and healing.
In an art therapy session, oracle cards can provide a focus for the creative process, helping to open up new pathways of exploration and insight. There are many different decks of oracle cards available, each with its own set of images and symbols. Anyone can use oracle cards for personal growth and development. When using oracle cards in an art therapy session, it is important to connect with the cards in a personal way, allowing your intuition to guide you.
The following are some ways that oracle cards can be used in an art therapy session:
1. To gain insight into a particular situation or problem.
2. To receive guidance and support from your Higher Self or other spirit guides.
3. To connect with the energy and message of a particular card or grouping of cards.
Choose a deck of cards that speaks to you. There are many different decks of oracle cards available, so it's important to find one that resonates with you. The artwork on the cards should feel inspiring and uplifting to you. Don't be afraid to experiment.
In our next blog post we will continue exploring the use of oracle cards in therapeutic practice to promote self-discovery and inner healing.
